The aim of the Kotor Music Festival is to gather musicians and students from all over the world to the old town of Kotor which is situated on the Adriatic coast in Montenegro. The stupendous coast of Montenegro and its dramatic mountains are perfect settings for the festival. Students will have minimum of 6 instrumental lessons during the festival and chamber music classes depending on the groups that will be formed at the beginning of the festival.  Students will be required to perform 5-10 minutes of music on the first day of the festival.
 
Kotor Music Festival will take place in the surrounding of the magnificent old town of Kotor. The festival will be based in the Kotor Music School, which is located in the centre of the old town. The building that the school is situated in dates from the xix century. The school, that has recently been modernized, has 20 teaching rooms, a recording studio, library and the concert hall (Church of St Duha used as the concert hall). The concerts that will take place during the festival will take place at the Church of St Duha and in the many piazzas (town squares). The Baroque Church of St Duha is the only example of such architecture in Montenegro.
 
Many bead and breakfast rooms and apartments are located in the old town in close proximity to the school. When sending the application form students should request that the accommodation be booked for them. Prices of the rooms vary from 10 to 15 euros per night. Restaurants and cafes are plentiful and the prices are very reasonable.
 
Fees for the festival are 250 euros. Limited number of scholarships are available. All instrumental classes, chamber music classes, participations in the concerts recordings for radio and television are included in the price. All rights for any radio, television and sales of the recordings of the concerts belong to the Kotor Music Festival.
